About the grant
The New Classics Fund supports established actors in the Finnish art field and strengthens their conditions to operate and develop. The grant is aimed at associations within visual arts that are registered in Finland and conduct professional, high-quality exhibition activities and sales of works year-round. The grant can be used to promote activities and increase sales, for example by developing sales systems and acquiring new customers. The grant is divided into a calculated part based on sales revenue with a maximum of 10,000 euros per work and a maximum of 50,000 euros per year (total maximum 150,000 euros during the grant period), as well as a basic part of 30,000–100,000 euros which can be granted after needs assessment. The grant period is 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2029. Applications open 1 September 2026 and close 16 September 2026 at 16:00 and are submitted electronically.
Requirements
- Applicants must be galleries, art libraries or other associations within visual arts registered in Finland.
- The activity must be professional, high-quality and ongoing year-round.
- Applicants must not be public associations, actors with state cultural subsidies, national art institutions, associations already funded through New Classics, or have de minimis aid and new grants exceeding 300,000 euros over three years.
