About the grant
EIC Pathfinder supports the exploration of bold ideas for radically new technologies by funding high-risk/high-reward and interdisciplinary collaborations in groundbreaking science. Grants are provided for early development of future technologies at low technology readiness levels (TRL 1-3) up to proof of concept. Grants can be up to €3 million for the Pathfinder Open call (completely bottom-up) or up to €4 million for the Pathfinder Challenges call with thematic priorities. Projects also gain access to tailored coaching via EIC Business Acceleration Services and may receive additional funding for testing and portfolio actions. Successful results may receive follow-up funding via EIC Transition or fast-track to EIC Accelerator for commercialisation.
Requirements
- Projects must be early development projects within future technologies (TRL 1-3).
- Projects must be high-risk/high-reward and interdisciplinary.
- Applications for Pathfinder Challenges 2024 must be submitted by 16 October 2024 at 17:00 CET.
