About the grant

LU Holdings portfolio company Amniotics has been awarded a grant of 3.8 million euros from the European Innovation Council (EIC) to develop a product based on stem cell technology that can be used against various types of cancer. The project aims to develop a particularly effective natural killer cell (NK cell) that can be administered intravenously to patients to attack cancer cells. The grant will be used for product development and research with the goal of having a viable product for clinical evaluation within three years. The consortium consists of Lund University, Medizinische Hochschule Hannover and the University of Copenhagen.
