About the grant
The Neighbourhood Initiative supports local projects that provide space in a neighbourhood and aim to strengthen community, contribute to cohesion, increased wellbeing and health. Support can be applied for by non-profit organisations or public benefit foundations with a Swedish organisation number and completed financial statements for at least one year. Projects must target the public in the target group's neighbourhood and be conducted over 1-9 months. Support can be applied for projects differing from the organisation's ordinary activities and financed at least 50% by the support sought. The project must be conducted in Sweden and contribute to people meeting and feeling community in the neighbourhood. Support does not finance ordinary activities, political or religious efforts, profit-making projects, private individuals or organisations that have received support the same year before.
Requirements
- Applicants must be a non-profit organisation or public benefit foundation with a Swedish organisation number for at least one year
- The organisation must have completed financial statements
- The project must target the public in the target group's neighbourhood
- The project must differ from the organisation's ordinary activities
- The project must be conducted over 1-9 months
- The project must be conducted in Sweden
- The project must be financed at least 50% by the support sought within the Neighbourhood Initiative
- Support is not given to ordinary activities, political or religious efforts, profit-making projects, private individuals, non-public benefit organisations, or organisations that have received support within the Neighbourhood Initiative the same year
