About the grant
Nordic Energy Research invites tenders for the study "Mapping Nordic Hydrogen Valleys". The aim is to identify and map existing and upcoming hydrogen valleys in the Nordic region and to develop a prototype digital tool for mapping Nordic hydrogen valleys. The study will also examine the potential for the use of pure hydrogen and other fuels based on pure hydrogen in Arctic shipping. The study should support the development of Nordic hydrogen valleys, contribute to the exchange of experience among Nordic actors, and promote Nordic strengths within hydrogen value chains, for example in relation to the "Mission Innovation Hydrogen Valley Platform". The commission includes concept creation and mapping based on criteria from Mission Innovation, identification of drivers and barriers, analysis of potential within Arctic shipping, development of a prototype tool, as well as organising meetings and presentations for national authorities. The available budget is 1,215,000 NOK. Nordic Energy Research is the client on behalf of the Nordic Committee of Senior Officials for Energy Policies.
