- Projektet ska lansera innovativa, demonstrativa lösningar med tydlig miljö- eller klimatnytta
- Hög teknisk och affärsmässig mognad, lösningen ska kunna införas i industriell eller kommersiell skala under projektet eller strax efter
- Alla LIFE close-to-market-projekt måste ta fram en affärsplan
