About the grant
The purpose is to build a joint research and infrastructure programme to strengthen research and analysis of information integrity in the EU. The project will develop technical solutions, tools and shared infrastructure, enable access for researchers and civil society, and gather insights on information influence and data access. A large part of the funding will be passed on to third parties through transparent calls, focusing on long-term impact, quality and scalable solutions. It will support and collaborate with ongoing initiatives such as the European Digital Media Observatory (EDMO), European Network of Fact-Checkers and the Digital Services Act. The target group is organisations within research, civil society, fact-checking and technology providers.
