SKAPA Acceleration Grant 2026

About the grant

The SKAPA Acceleration Grant was established by the Agne Johansson Memorial Fund to encourage continued development and commercialisation of innovative products and services. The grant targets innovations that solve clear societal challenges and have the potential to scale nationally or internationally, with a clear connection to the UN Agenda 2030 global goals. It can be awarded to a person who, after 2021, has won SKAPA's regional prize or Stockholm City's innovation grant. The grant is SEK 250,000 and shall be used for marketing efforts such as trade fair participation, sales materials, marketing or skills development. The project must be completed within 18 months from the award. Products related to tobacco and alcohol are not rewarded. Applications open spring 2026 and the application deadline is 31 May 2026. The winner is presented at the SKAPA Innovation Mixer in November in Stockholm, where attendance is required. The jury's decision is final.

Requirements

• Previously received SKAPA's regional prize or Stockholm City's innovation grant after 2021
• Have been resident and active in Sweden since January 2023
• Be at least 18 years old
• The service or product must have reached the market with at least one paying customer
• The applicant must be the owner and developer of the idea and own at least 50% of the company
• The grant must be used for marketing efforts such as trade fair participation, sales materials, marketing or skills development
• The project must be carried out within 18 months of the award
• Products related to tobacco and alcohol are not eligible
• A credit check will be conducted on the applicant
• Reporting on the use of funds must be submitted by 30 June 2028
• Attendance at the award ceremony in November in Stockholm is required
