About the grant

The National Board of Health and Welfare pays out government grants to the regional collaboration and support structures (RSS) so that during 2026 they can support municipalities in developing and maintaining knowledge-based elderly care focusing on care and support for people with dementia. A total of SEK 100 million will be paid out to the principals of the regional collaboration and support structures. The grants are allocated according to the government’s assignment S2025/00119. Recipients shall submit interim reporting on how the grants have been used, including documentation enabling the National Board of Health and Welfare to conduct an in-depth review. If documentation cannot be provided, the recipient may be liable for repayment. The application was open until 15 April 2026 and requisition is made via the National Board of Health and Welfare’s logged-in portal.

Requirements

  • Recipients must be regional collaboration and support structures (RSS).
  • An authorised representative or a person with power of attorney must be available for requisition.
  • The government grant shall be used according to the government’s assignment S2025/00119.
  • Recipients shall submit interim reporting and be able to provide documentation for the use of the funds.
  • Documentation may include extracts from the general ledger/account statements, invoices, payslips and employment contracts.
