Broadband support for the expansion of broadband infrastructure in Sweden, aimed at actors who want to build broadband in areas where it would otherwise not be built.
A total of SEK 822 million divided into three areas: Norrland SEK 276,689,000, Svealand SEK 280,402,000, Götaland SEK 264,909,000. Maximum project cost SEK 15 million.
Maximum 35 percent per applicant and call area.
Applications open 12 May 2026 and close 26 August 2026 at 23:59.
About the grant
The Broadband Support 2026 is a government grant administered by the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS) to enable the expansion of broadband infrastructure in areas where it would otherwise not be built. A total of SEK 822 million is available, divided into three call areas: Norrland (SEK 276,689,000), Svealand (SEK 280,402,000) and Götaland (SEK 264,909,000). The support is primarily aimed at households and workplaces, but holiday homes may also be included. Projects must cover at least five buildings and cost a maximum of SEK 15 million. An applicant can receive up to 35 percent of the support per call area. Projects must be completed within three years and PTS monitors and controls the projects throughout the period. Payments are made in five instalments between 2026 and 2030 according to a fixed plan. Applications are submitted via the PTS portal and the deadline is 26 August 2026 at 23:59.
Requirements
- The project must cover at least five buildings.
- The project may cost a maximum of SEK 15 million.
- Applicants can receive a maximum of 35 percent of the support per call area.
- Applications must be submitted via the PTS portal no later than 26 August 2026 at 23:59.
- Applicants must demonstrate that they are not applying for more support than necessary for the project.
- Applicants must submit annual reports if available.
- If reference is made to another actor's financial capacity, documentation for this actor must be submitted.
- The project must be completed within three years from the decision on support.
