About the grant
Local support is given to organisations that want to carry out reconstruction, extension or new construction to be able to start new activities aimed at the Swedish Inheritance Fund's target groups. Premises and facilities built with local support must be accessible for people with disabilities. Support can be granted up to 80 percent of total approved costs including VAT, with a maximum limit of SEK 10 million including VAT. The construction must be completed and reported within three years after the decision on granted support, and the activity must be run for at least ten years after the construction. There are special guidelines for artificial turf pitches and padel facilities, including requirements that artificial turf pitches do not contain microplastics from September 2026 and that padel facilities must have organised and led activities for at least one of the target groups for at least 10 years.
Requirements
- The organisation must have operated in Sweden for at least two years.
- The premises/facility must be accessible for people with disabilities.
- There must be a ten-year agreement for the premises and/or land if the organisation does not own the land itself.
- The landlord may not use the premises for their own activities.
- The project must meet the criteria of development, participation and survival.
- For artificial turf pitches, a certificate is required that the infill material does not contain microplastics.
- Padel facilities must have organised and led activities for at least one of the target groups for at least 10 years.
