About the grant

The Micro Fund is an organisation that invests in social enterprises and non-profit associations that have difficulty obtaining regular bank loans. Micro Fund Sweden was started by Hela Sverige ska leva, Ekobanken, Jak Medlemsbank and Coompanion and functions as a national hub with regional independent micro funds in the form of economic associations. The capital mainly consists of non-profit private capital and regionally investors include members, cooperatives and smaller banks in the micro funds. The micro funds work with microcredits and on average borrowers receive SEK 100,000. There are regional micro funds in Halland, Småland, Uppsala County, West, Västernorrland, Jämtland (Z), Mälardalen, East and Östergötland.
