About the grant
The support is an initiative in line with Norrbotten's food strategy Close Food and can be co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund. Support can be given for feasibility studies and investments related to food processing, such as external expertise for production methods, study visits, specialists for new flavours, production machines, local adaptation, graphic profile and website. The target group is small and medium-sized companies in Norrbotten with business or planned business in food processing that can achieve profitability, create sustainable employment and operate on market terms. Active sustainability work is required, which can be demonstrated by participation in the Sustainability Dialogue with Almi. The support is de minimis and must not exceed SEK 3 million over three years together with other support. Applications are made digitally via the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth's e-service My Application. Assessment is based on four selection criteria focusing on sustainable regional development and connection to Norrbotten Strategy 2040 and other regional policy documents.
Requirements
- The company must be small or medium-sized and operate or plan to operate in food processing in Norrbotten.
- The company must be able to achieve profitability, create sustainable employment and operate on market terms.
- Active sustainability work is required, e.g. participation in the Sustainability Dialogue with Almi.
- Support must not be given for feasibility studies and investments related to primary production.
- Applicants must check that total de minimis support does not exceed SEK 3 million over three years.
- Applications are made digitally via the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth's e-service My Application.
