About the grant
The National Association of Community Centres annually awards an environmental scholarship in collaboration with Bondens El of 5,000 SEK. Environmental work in the community centre movement involves conserving resources both in work with properties and activities. By using resources sustainably and making conscious choices about materials, energy and purchases, community centre associations can contribute to a long-term sustainable society. The purpose of the scholarship is to recognise individuals, community centre associations or districts actively and commendably working with environmental issues related to the community centre movement, highlight environmental issues both internally and externally and show that community centres work actively and committedly with environmental issues. The scholarship is linked to Agenda 2030 and goal 13: Combat climate change.
