About the grant
SPIK is a project financed with just over 12 million SEK from the EU Social Fund and a total budget of 22.3 million SEK. The project is run by IUC Syd and Techtank together with IF Metall and Teknikföretagen during 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2026. The goal is to develop skills of 1,500 employees and support 100 small and medium-sized enterprises in Skåne and Blekinge to promote the green transition of industry. The project focuses on strategic skills supply linked to climate-smart transition and uses the tool Mind The Gap to connect companies' business goals to skills needs. The partnership behind the project includes labour market parties and industry supporters to create lasting effects and increased inclusion in industry.
