About the grant
Region Örebro County's Cultural Committee annually distributes association support to the county's associations to create conditions for a strong civil society in Örebro County. The grants are aimed at cultural associations, youth organisations, pensioners' organisations, sports movement as well as nature and environmental organisations. The support amounts to approximately 20 million SEK and reaches more than half of the county's inhabitants. The updated regulations for association support introduced in 2026 include, among other things, new democracy and security requirements as well as requirements to follow Region Örebro County's guidelines and other laws and regulations. The purpose is to strengthen the role of civil society for democracy, participation, public health, social cohesion and regional development throughout the county.
