About the grant
Patients who are under compulsory psychiatric care or isolated under the Communicable Diseases Act have the right to have a support person during the period the compulsory care or isolation lasts. As a support person, you support the patient in personal matters, meet or call the patient once a week, attend hearings in the Administrative Court if the patient wishes, and report regularly to the patient committee. You are offered digital basic training, information and support during the assignment as well as the opportunity to participate in training and meetings with other support persons. The compensation consists of a taxable fee part of SEK 800/month and a cost allowance of SEK 600/month, as well as compensation for travel and lost earnings during training or hearings. As a support person, you are bound by confidentiality according to the Health and Medical Services Act and are accident insured during the assignment.
Requirements
- Have a genuine interest in helping a fellow human being
- Have a stable social situation
- Not be a friend or relative of the patient
- Be at least 23 years old (individual assessment is made)
- Extract from the criminal record is required
