About the grant
You can receive support for investments if you have an agricultural, horticultural or reindeer husbandry company and want to invest in activities other than agriculture. The support aims to develop business in rural areas and create growth and employment, for example in tourism, farm shops, experiences, care and contracting. The support can be given for buildings, facilities, fixed and movable inventory, production equipment and services or intangible investments such as consultancy hours, licenses or software. The support covers 40 percent of approved expenses with a maximum amount of SEK 800,000 within a three-year period. The minimum expense to receive support is SEK 100,000. The conditions of the investment support include requirements for permits, financial reporting, that the investment must remain for at least 5 years after final payment and that the business is conducted at the same location as the agricultural or horticultural business. Application and payment are made via e-service, and the processing time is about 7 months for decision and 2 months for payment. The support is covered by the EU's agricultural policy and state aid rules. There are regional priorities and different processing authorities depending on the county. The support can be applied for in ongoing processing, decision rounds or calls. There is the possibility of advance payment, partial payment and final payment with special requirements for documentation and reporting.

- You must run an agricultural, horticultural or reindeer husbandry company and diversify the business.
- Companies mainly engaged in breeding and rearing horses cannot apply.
- Expenses must have invoice and payment dates no earlier than the application date.
- Minimum expense for support is SEK 100,000.
- You must have the necessary permits and approvals for the investment.
- The investment must remain for at least 5 years after final payment.
- The business receiving support must be conducted at the same location as the agricultural or horticultural business.
- You must provide financial reporting and description at final reporting.
- Invoices and payment proofs must meet the authority's requirements.
- You must follow public procurement rules if you are subject to procurement obligations.
- You must apply for a change of decision if significant changes occur.
- You must inform about EU financing and use the EU logo according to rules.
- You may need a power of attorney to apply for support on behalf of another organisation or company.
