About the grant
The King Gustaf V's 90th Anniversary Fund grants funds to non-profit associations based in Sweden that are legal entities. The grant is intended for leadership training that supports, strengthens and develops non-profit youth activities. The projects must be run by, with or for young people. Applications can be submitted twice a year, with deadlines 15 February and 15 September. Applications are made via the foundation's digital application system and must be made by an authorised signatory or contact person with power of attorney. There is no fixed amount limit, but the median amount is around SEK 50,000, with the lowest granted about SEK 5,000 and the highest up to SEK 150,000 per year. Grants are normally not given for regular activities, salaries (unless specially motivated), air travel (unless specially motivated), audit costs, study trips or camp fees. Grants can be awarded for multi-year projects up to three years, but applications must be made for one year at a time. Decisions are made by the foundation's board after preparation by the office. Granted funds must be requisitioned digitally no later than six months after the decision and payment is made to a bank or postal giro account belonging to the legal entity. Reporting is mandatory and is done via the application system. Late or missing reporting may lead to repayment and affect the possibility of future support.
