About the grant

The project Parental Power is a joint Dream Project by Sweden's City Missions and Bris, financed with over SEK 18 million from the Swedish Postcode Lottery. The purpose is to develop and test a holistic parent support programme in socioeconomically vulnerable areas in Stockholm (Vårberg, Hässelby and Tensta) to strengthen parents and thereby provide children with a safer upbringing. The project combines expertise from civil society, the public sector and the target group to create an accurate and sustainable support method. The goal is to reach hundreds of families and create long-term improvements in upbringing environment, schooling, study results and leisure activities.
