About the grant
Sparbanksstiftelsen Kronan and Swedbank annually award cultural scholarships from 2024 to 2026 to cultural practitioners in Kalmar County, Blekinge County, Kronoberg County and Halmstad Municipality. A total of up to SEK 600,000 can be awarded per year. The scholarships are SEK 50,000 or SEK 100,000 and are awarded by a jury consisting of representatives from the foundation's board and persons with experience from various art forms. Applicants must live or work in Kronan's area and can apply within dance, literature, visual and applied arts, theatre, film, music and digital media. The application period is 1 December to 31 January, with awards in May/June. The scholarship aims to support artistic development and requires documentation of merits within the art form.
Requirements
- Applicants must be particularly talented with their own expression within their art form.
- Documentation must exist within merited education, publication, competition participation or performance on established stage/platform.
- Applicants must write a motivation on how the scholarship will be used and its significance for artistic development.
- Applicants must live or work in Kronan's area (16 specified municipalities).
