About the grant
Since 1996, Sparbanksstiftelsen Kronan has awarded scholarships for outstanding theses at Blekinge Institute of Technology, Halmstad University and Linnaeus University. A total of SEK 900,000 is awarded and the awarded students are invited to a scholarship ceremony at each institution during autumn. The scholarship can be applied for by students at these three institutions for C- or D-thesis (at least 15 credits) written during the past academic year (autumn term 2025 or spring term 2026). The work should demonstrate high creativity, new technology, practical relevance, technical benefit, business potential, entrepreneurship or great societal benefit within welfare, healthcare and the public sector. Basic criteria are academic level and originality. Applications are made via a form and thesis as well as certificate from supervisor must be attached. The institutions' nomination committees propose candidates and Sparbanksstiftelsen's jury decides the winners. Only those who receive scholarships are notified.
