About the grant
Sign Supported Communication is a visual communication support to spoken language where speech and signs are used simultaneously. The course is aimed at children with language vulnerability, persons with communication difficulties, persons with hearing impairment and their relatives. The course comprises 10 hours (weekend course 6 + 4 hours) and includes communication exercises, basic sign vocabulary, knowledge about sign use and digital tools for sign learning. Course materials consist of compendium, drawn signs and films. Lunch and refreshments are included in the course fee. The course is held at Skellefteå Innovation Park with space for about 14 participants.
